a blog about technology, business, and whatever I feel like writing about.

We’re here.
(That is to say, I’ve been here for a couple weeks, but am just now to the point that I can sit around and blog.)
I’ve been here since the 9th, and Chrissy came out on the 13th. Our stuff came out on the 18th.
My flight left from Burbank, California on the 8th, and arrived in San Antonio in the wee hours of the morning on the 9th. I checked into the hotel, grabbed a couple hours of sleep, and reported for work at 8:00 AM. Ugh.
My first weeks have been spent in various forms of training. Lots of new stuff to learn. The original schedule was to train for a couple more weeks, but I found out yesterday that I will start getting some accounts on Monday, which I am stoked about. Rackspace is great. They really try to hire the best of the best, and it shows in their team. They also go out of their way to make sure to treat all of their employees well.
The new apartment is all set up, and is quite nice. You can see pictures here. It is starting to feel like home.
San Antonio is a really neat city. The people are friendly, and the food is great. Right now, my only complaint is that the radio stations out here are fairly horrible. The best I have been able to find is a “classic” rock station, which seems to classify Great White, Ratt, and Europe as classic rock. Time to get a car adapter for the iPod.
